Question Bridge: Black Males and Hank Willis Thomas: Selected Works at the Jack Shainman Gallery

HWT&QBWall

We were very lucky to end our fully funded Kickstarter campaign (thanks again to every one who contributed) with a wonderful opening at the Jack Shainman Gallery in Chelsea, New York. Question Bridge: Black Males and Hank Willis Thomas: Selected Works opened last Thursday, July 11th at the Gallery’s new space on 24th Street.

The block party that was held right in front of the gallery with a DJ and  food trucks was a great success!

Once inside the gallery our guests were very moved by the powerful five-channel Question Bridge installation. We witnessed people entering the installation room and disappearing for a long time.

Hank Willis Thomas presented some of his newest pieces, including Zero Hour from the Wayfarer Series in collaboration with Sanford Biggers.

The show will be on view until August 17th, 2013. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Friday from 10 am – 6 pm. Be sure to stop by and be prepared to spend some time in the Question Bridge installation room.

You have a call from Jesse Williams!

Jesse Williams announces new Kickstarter reward from Question Bridge on Vimeo.

As you probably know by now, we’ve launched our Question Bridge Interactive Kickstarter campaign. QuestionBridge.com will be a responsive design platform to explore and understand identity and facilitate dialogue. We are so excited about expanding the project to the digital space.

But to get there, we need to raise $68,000! We’re in Week 2, and are so grateful to our backers. We have about 20 days to go. If you haven’t contributed yet, we’d be glad to have your support. Help us achieve our goal and please share our campaign with your networks. We also just introduced a new reward!
